種の交換会＆物々交換市　Organic Vegetables’ Seed Exchange & Barter Market　@奈良県生駒市 Ikoma, Nara （投稿ID : 18k0k5）

在来有機野菜の種や情報を交換しよう．投げ銭で参加費をお願いします．毎月第３土曜日の物々交換市も同時開催．今回は採れたばかりのアブラナ科野菜の種が期待できるはず 😉

We're going to exchange our endemic seeds. Bring seeds of organic vegetable if you do gardening! You can also check barter market at the same place. The fee is donation. When you participate, click "Attend" on MeetUp or send me an email below by 6PM 5/17 (which is the day before). You probably get mustard family (Brassicaceae) seeds this time.

Why should you go on this Seed Exchange?
日本のスーパーで売られるほとんどの野菜，そして野菜の種がF1（First child）です．F1は，種をつけてもF1と同じ形質は持ちません．農家ではこの種を毎年購入して野菜を育てます．これに対し同じ形質の種ができるものを在来種（固定種）といいます．この在来種の種（たね）を持ち寄って種（しゅ）の保存をしましょう．奈良ならではの種，大歓迎！　種はないけど今年から野良仕事を始めたい，という人も歓迎します．育てて豊作になったら，次は他の方に還元してください．

●12:30 集合　近鉄生駒駅（近鉄奈良線）中央改札口前
企画者は黄色の反射たすきをバックパックにぶら下げます．お昼ごはんは食べてきてくださいね．会場予約の都合上，参加申込が前日18時までにない場合，種交換会は開催されません．物々交換市は開催されますが，各自でいらしてください．

●15:00 解散．ただし要望があれば企画者の畑（南生駒）に移動して見学も可能．その場合は申し出てください．

●持ち物：種を持ち帰る封筒などの袋・種・筆記用具（種の名前を記す）・あれば不要品（汚れているもの，壊れているもの，大きな家具，等々持ち込み不可なものあり．誰も欲しがらないゴミを持ち込むべからず！　詳しくは下記リンク先を参照）

●企画者はイベント内で起きた事故、トラブル等には一切責任を負えません．

If you don't have any seeds but you want to start gardening, don't worry. You can participate and when you grow and get lots of seed, you'll pay it forward! There’s a Barter Market “Warashibe-ichi”. You can exchange something that you don’t use there, Great!

Why should you go on this Seed Exchange?
Most vegetables sold in supermarkets and its seeds are F1 (First child) in Japan. F1s do not have the same traits as F1s when seeded because they are hybrid, In contrast, a seed that produces the same traits is called a native species (fixed seed). Let’s bring seeds of these native species to preserve the species. Seeds endemic to Nara are welcome! People who don’t have any seeds but want to start gardening this year are also welcome. If you grow a good harvest, please pay it forward to others next time.

The organizer will wait and hung a reflective sash on my backpack when someone attends by 6:00 PM the day before (If nobody attends, only barter market will have and you can come by yourself). Please come after having your lunch.

●15:00 Ending up there. If there is more time and on request, move to the organiser's garden near Minami Ikoma station.
※The time table is flexible Except for meeting up time. You can leave anytime but please let me know.

●What to bring: Envelopes or other small bags to take the seeds home, seeds, pens (write down the name of the seed), Unnecessary items if any (dirty, broken, large pieces of furniture, etc. are not allowed. For more information, see the links below).

●Registration and Cancellation must be made in order to reserve the venue by 6 pm the day before the event. The event will be held even in the event of rain. Please keep the seeds dry!
