Jazz Piano Lessons The instructor is a professional musician and graduate of the Kunitachi College of Music, where he majored in jazz piano. Alongside an active career as a professional musician, he also offer jazz piano lessons. You can choose between 30-minute and 60-minute sessions. Jazz is often seen as difficult and complex, but my lessons focus on making it “simple and easy to understand.” We start from the basics, covering technique and nuances, as well as explaining theory, such as chord structures and scales, in a clear manner. I incorporate demonstrations throughout the lesson to reinforce learning. Lesson Fees Trial Lesson (Limited to one per person): Usually ¥5,000 for a 60-minute session (studio fee included). However, if you mention you found the lesson through Jimoty, you can receive a 30-minute trial for ¥2,200 (tax included). Instructor Profile Seiya Matsushita Pianist, Vocalist, Singer-Songwriter, Producer, and Founder of Pivo Music School Background and Experience Born on February 12, 1998, in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, Seiya began playing the piano at age 5. During high school, he started writing songs and performing live at local venues. In 2020, Seiya graduated from the Jazz Performance and Creation Department at Kunitachi College of Music. He started his professional career while still a student, performing as a jazz pianist and vocalist at renowned jazz clubs, concert halls, and festivals nationwide. Activities Known as a rare “male singer-pianist” in the jazz world, Seiya has gained popularity while also working as a music producer, supporting artists, composing, and arranging. He is involved in creating and providing music and lyrics for companies and collaborating with various industries beyond music. As an instructor, he offers lessons to a wide range of students, from beginners to professionals. In 2020, he founded the online school Pivo Music School, where he serves as the head instructor. He also hosts seminars and talk events regularly as a guest speaker. From April 2021 to February 2024, he was a radio personality for three programs on Radio Narita. Discography • December 2022: Released a vocal duo album titled “Ototayori” with Grammy-winning saxophonist Yosuke Sato. • August 2023: Made a major debut with the leader album “Get on the Highway” under T-TOC RECORDS.
