14:00 - Discussion (3-6 people per group)
14:30 - Presentation (One person from each group)

Key Questions:
①How do you think the business strategies discussed by inmates in the TED Talk compare to those taught in traditional business education? Can you give examples of businesses that have successfully employed similar tactics?

②The speaker highlights the lack of rehabilitation and resources for inmates to transition into legal enterprises upon release...
Q: How do you think society could better support ex-offenders in re-entering the workforce and starting their own businesses???

③The talk mentions the risk-reward tradeoff in prison hustles, where illegal enterprises can yield significant profits...
Q: What ethical considerations should be taken into account when discussing the potential for inmates to turn their ingenuity towards legal entrepreneurship post-incarceration???

Fees: Please pay 400~500 yen (PayPay or Rakuten Pay) at the event.
English requirements: We recommend participants have at least an IELTS 4.0 or TOEIC 600 level.

About TEDee English Discussion Event:
TEDee organizes English discussion events utilizing TED videos. Participants will be divided into groups of 3-6 people, led by a facilitator, for English introductions followed by watching a TED video. Afterward, groups will discuss three pre-determined "Key Questions". A representative from each group will present their discussions, followed by a wrap-up by the facilitator.
While the event is open to all, we recommend participants have an intermediate or higher level of English proficiency. To encourage lively discussions, we kindly ask participants to watch the TED video beforehand.
Our event is run by a non-profit organization, offering a platform for English discussion at similar costs to regular English cafes. Our organizers and facilitators are dedicated to ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone, whether you're a first-timer or a repeat attendee. We welcome you to join us with ease and confidence!
