Sporting a beautiful maple top, gold hardware ('Waffleback' tuners!!!!!!), 3-piece set maple neck rosewood fingerboard and PAF style Maxon PU-2 humbucking pickups. Made in the Fujigen Factory, Japan. Essentially just a Greco-branded AS-200 which was the top of the line ES-style semi-hollow available from Ibanez' 'Artist Series' back in the day. Very nice! Includes original hard case with blue fluffy lining. What a gorgeous guitar! Greco's Super View series was a slimmed-down, updated take on the classic Gibson ES models, made for a couple of years in the late 70s. The body is about 5cm smaller across the top than an ES-335 but shares a similar 42mm depth. The smaller size means a lighter weight, which paired with a super agreeable slim C shaped neck makes this a very comfortable player indeed. It's well balanced standing up, or sits perfectly on the lap and makes an ideal couch guitar. This was made many decades before Gibson launched their ES-339, but it is a similar shape. There were two models in the catalog: the more basic SV-600 and the more deluxe SV-800. This is the SV-800, so it gets some nice extras: gold hardware, split hex inlays, fancy inlaid headstock and a fancier set of Maxon PU-2 pickups. 1979 Greco SV800 Super View - Excellent Condition ☆Private collection. This is a Japanese vintage Greco semi-hollow body guitar, the high-end SV800 model. Compared to the Gibson ES-335, it features a slightly smaller body, giving it a more manageable feel. Laminated sycamore body, rosewood fingerboard, and a 3-piece maple neck. Equipped with the original PU-2 pickups. It boasts solid Fujigen manufacturing quality. The nut, combining brass and cow bone, is the original specification for this model. Comes with all original documentation and even the original receipt from when first purchased. It currently produces a rich vintage tone. It was always maintained superbly, resulting in exceptional condition that belies its 49 years. Exterior condition: Minor impact marks on the lower body and binding, along with age-related deterioration (see images). The body has no major noticeable damage, preserving the beautiful tiger-stripe grain of the BS (Black Sunburst) finish and minor playing scuffs.
