🇬🇧 British Native English Teacher Wanted — Weekly Group Class in Tokyo (Shin-Okubo) We're looking for an additional native British English teacher for a relaxed, friendly weekly group class in Shin-Okubo, Tokyo. (We currently have one British teacher, but the group is growing and we'd like to bring on one more.) ⚠️ British English only, please — unfortunately we're not looking for American English teachers for this role. About us We've been meeting consistently every Saturday since April. It's less like a strict lesson and more like a relaxed group where people learn English, chat, and enjoy spending time together. You'll fit right in if you... Are interested in Korean culture / K-culture Would love to learn some Korean along the way (very welcome!) Prefer a laid-back, fun atmosphere over a strict classroom vibe About the students Currently all Korean, with Japanese students possibly joining in the future All students can speak Japanese, so Japanese can be used during class too What we're looking for A native speaker from the UK Comfortable teaching a small group (not 1-on-1) Available on Saturdays, in person, in Shin-Okubo Students are lower-intermediate to intermediate level in conversation — patience appreciated Teaching experience is a plus, but not required The class Light grammar/vocabulary + free conversation each week Casual, welcoming group atmosphere Happy to help you pick up some Korean too, if you're interested!
