My name is Joshua, and I'm from Australia. I've been teaching English in Japan for seven years. I currently work as a freelancer and run my own company. My strengths are my extensive teaching experience and positive personality. I've taught more than 200 private students, and I've never received a complaint from a student. I have taught at many major Japanese companies, including ECC, CES, Mitsubishi, Hanshin Diesel Works, and NEC (NEG). I also have experience working at cram schools and English conversation schools, giving me extensive experience teaching students of all ages, from children to adults. Whatever your English-learning goals may be, I will customize lessons to help you achieve them. I also have considerable experience teaching TOEIC and Eiken preparation, as well as providing tutoring for school exams. Most lessons follow a structured plan using teaching materials, but students who prefer a more casual learning style are also very welcome. My philosophy is not simply to teach English, but to create an environment where students enjoy learning and can progress comfortably at their own pace. For beginners who are not yet confident in fully English-speaking lessons, I can also provide support in Japanese. I usually travel by car, so location is generally not a problem.
